The ultimate cab got down to 299 or so and pinball was around the same.

Those were exceptional deals.
These are available every 3 months during their sales.

I bought at retail and added many unnecessary upgrades and felt it was a great value.
With a USB (and an hour of downloads) you can play nearly any classic arcade game. With a PC you can add about 100 pinball FX3 games that work great via x360ce (better with the optional VIBS backglass).

NOD?

OKay so I've got the arcade legends pro game deck with the trackball, and indeed with a sub $10 usb stick you can load up 1000's of arcade games or other games. However, the interface is relatively slow (although very cool looking!), there's no search function, and many games do not run at full speed due to the modest hardware, including some oddly old games like Stun Runner. Oh, and all games run at only 720p!! I plan to sell it on once I find a good trackball solution for gaming on a windows pc, for games like Marble Madness.

Buying a modern windows mini pc is a much better option with way more horsepower. You can spend the saved $100s on a world class fight stick or two. Yeah you won't have the arcade form factor but really, that form factory is an ergonomic disaster and is only good for impressing neckbeards, and then only momentarily (what, no crt? what, these sticks and buttons are generic no name and not sanwa or happ???).
