i shop at aldi's all the time and generally like their products but should point out this does not appear to be stainless steel and am sure this would rust out after a couple 3 years....

It has a smart design that feeds hot air to the top of your wood pile so that the smoke is heated again and causes second burn. As long as you keep your wood lower than the second burn holes, you'll get very little smoke out of the fire pit.

i shop at aldi's all the time and generally like their products but should point out this does not appear to be stainless steel and am sure this would rust out after a couple 3 years....

Very tempted. If I use it a lot and it rusts in a few years then it might end up being false economy if eventually replacing with a Solo. Then again, I could buy at least three at this price-point before the equivalent cost of a solo. Personally I like the black painted look.

This is true. Also I've had great success with high temp spray paint. Looks nice, it's matte black, and holds up in the elements. I've used it on my Char-Broil Grill and has lasted many seasons.

I'd spend the Solo money myself. Take my ranger off grid camping a lot. So many burns. 0 rust... This one will save you a bunch, but you'll buy more often when the bottom falls out 🤷

I have one of these, bought it earlier this summer. Only used it once so far (hard to find the time with a toddler) but it was really effective! Definitely kept the smoke down, and my wife and I didn't smell like a campfire after. It's been sitting out in the elements for couple months, haven't seen any rust forming. I'm pretty sure it is stainless, just doesn't say so on the product page. I would recommend it in a heartbeat at this price.


EDIT: This is how I find out my card lost price protection. Looks like I paid double this price. Lame.

Same, we have a stainless washing machine tub at the deer lease that has been sitting outside "lightly" covered for at least 10 years - still going strong after countless fires Is the tub smokeless? No at all but that thing gets going like no ones business since it has so many holes to feed the O2.
