YMMV, found this smokeless portable fire pit at my local Aldi's for $89.99 but rang up at $59.99. Good for backyard summer bonfires and I am assuming you can burn wood, pellets and/or charcoal.

DIY used a washing machine inner drum paint it Black. Working great for 3 yrs. Lol
i shop at aldi's all the time and generally like their products but should point out this does not appear to be stainless steel and am sure this would rust out after a couple 3 years....
It has a smart design that feeds hot air to the top of your wood pile so that the smoke is heated again and causes second burn. As long as you keep your wood lower than the second burn holes, you'll get very little smoke out of the fire pit.

I was wondering when the cheap solo stove clones would come out. Surprised it took this long.

I also can't imagine any paint being able to tolerate that kind of high heat. I'm no expert but I can imagine the nasty stink coming off this thing as it burns off.

What does "smokeless" really mean?

It means less smoke not without smoke.

If you expect no smoke you will be disappointed with any of them.

You need good wood that is dry and not old and spongey and to keep the fire hot to have a fire with no visible smoke.

You will have to have small wood to keep it below the rim so the heated air joins the flame and helps it full burn.

Other than letting it burn out, is there a way to extinguish the fire? Lid / cover? Or just douse it with a ton of water?

I wouldn't shock the metal with cold water after a hot fire. Sand maybe? I'd just let it burn out myself. I'm sure the extra air holes would prevent smothering.

If it's like my tiki smokeless, most of the heat is radiated straight up and being double walled, not much radiates out the sides. Mine goes through a huge amount of wood as fast as it burns.

Regular price is $60 ?? If its the same size as the solo, this is a great deal . Even the SS on the solo rusts... just how well you take care of it, cover it, etc.

Says $119 down from $139 on the shelf. Rang up at $59.99 and matched the $43.50 showing them this forum.

Campfires burn at around 950f. There's automotive header paint that's good up past 2000f
