Alot of money for something that only has a 1 year warranty. I like Toto and their bidets have solid reviews but you'd think they would give you at least a 3 year warranty for the amount of money they want for these.

Nice deal. I paid $850 in 2020. Love this thing. It's in the half bath, we get lots of comments from guests about the self opening lid. Also love that you don't have to raise the seat to pee, just push a button. Pre-mist is worth it!
Looks great, but that is a bit too rich for my cheap blood. I do have a bidet that I found on here a few months ago. I got one as a test and liked it so much I got a second one. $23.99 when you clip the coupon.
One might think it's a lot until you actually use it, I personally wouldn't spend that much but their lower models go for less than $300 and have most of the features you want in a bidet. Also, Toto makes the best bidet that's why it's pricy
I tried various Toto bidet models in Japan, and they changed my life. Bidets don't literally wipe your behind for you, but you definitely feel cleaner and "without opinions" than going back to the traditional TP-only method.
However, there's no need to get these expensive ones for first-timers or even if upgrading from non-electric models. For example, Costco sells a pretty good entry/mid level one @ $360 that is pretty much a standard for Toto features (i.e., heated seats, bowl pre-mist, water temp and power adjusters, deodorizer, etc.). The remote control version gets restocked at certain stores every once in a while too, but I haven't see them pop up this year.
Comment on the deal post model (S550E): "Continuous heated water" on the S550E is a nice upgrade to the standard heated water, but unless you're using the spray function for more than 30 seconds, the standard heated water is more than enough. I guess the night light feature is a nice to have if you're a frequent mid-night user..
Oh, and these are dead simple to install and don't require more than a standard philips screwdriver. No plumbing knowledge required.
I worked in the construction department of a large REIT catering to old farts. Some genius decided that we should offer these std. with every apartment at a high end facility. Anyway, we installed the first one (most of us had never seen one before) and 3 of us were messing around with it and couldnt get it to work. (3 big guys in a small bathroom) Anyway, hit the right button on the remotefinally and the little dingus springs out and sprays water straight up at our faces! We all jumped.
That being said, about half our boomer residents hated them and we ended up putting in regular ole fart extended seats.
I just had to try it though. OMG, i wouldnt call it masterbation, but ai also wouldnt call it unpleasant. Its quite nice actually, being all nice a squishy clean, and not using reams of tp…
They are very easy to install btw, as long as the outlet is there for power…
I highly recomend the Toto, you cant gonwrong with them.
i gotta say its disconcerting sometimes when the lid auto opens when you walk by tho…

I have two of these in my house. I can't imagine going back to the old way. Regarding the quality, I installed a s300 in 2016. When I was cleaning it, I dropped it and the remote control stopped talking to it. I shipped it back to Toto for $175 roundtrip and they fixed it up like new and it took around 2 weeks. Considering the amount of moving parts, I was impressed with how well this held up for 7 years of daily use and repair process was first rate.

We bough the other model with the "modern" lid design last year. Buying this one to replace a BioBidet in the other bathroom.
