Have had one of these for a year now and it's simply amazing for the price.

Clear text, great colors, HDR is really great, good blacks, good refresh rate and no ghosting. Outside of wanting oled, couldn't ask for better performance

No, it is just the panel type. Each panel type has different strengths and weaknesses. I prefer VA over IPS.

that is a BADASS looking gaming monitor. Does anyone have any experience playing Val on UWs? also, this is the perfect time for all the Amex Plat holders to spend their dell credits.

It immediately went back to $450 in less than 24 hours. I agree that Amazon had a better deal but it must have been some type of price glitch. This is the lowest I've seen this monitor go for any extended period of time. Plus purchasing direct has some advantages as well.

val doesnt have UW res. youll just get black bars

I know someone who recently purchased one of these monitors and had a chance to put some time on it and was honestly impressed with the clairty of the text. I don't know how they compare to IPS since I prefer VA for the better contrast but I'm tempted to get a pair at this price.
