I think that the refurbished units from eBay with the 2 year warranty is probably the best deal available for these. At about 300$ less for the s7MaxV and an additional year of warranty it would be hard to argue that Brand New is a better option. I assume we will see that come back soon(maybe to compete with Amazon day).
Great vacuums; sub-par customer service at best, predatory at worst. Vacuum threw a CLIFF SENSOR ERROR message on my phone right before plunging down the stairs and into the basement. This happened within the 1 year warranty period, but Roborock weaseled their way out of replacing my device by calling it an "accident." After threats to report their shenanigans to the BBB, they offered me a discount code on future purchases. Like that's gonna help with the $700 paperweight I have as a vacuum now.

I guess Roborock no longer wants to serve people like me who don't want to pay for mopping or auto-empty features. The Q5 is almost ignored on the website (and the sale price of $300 is a good deal but nothing we haven't seen before).

Sorry, currently have a shark robot auto empty on its last leg. I was considering a Roomba, it came across good recommendations for roborock. Can someone please help choose best option. Don't need mop feature. TIA

Would you mind directing me to the eBay refurbished units you're talking about? I saw a s7MaxV Ebay has for around $500 but it is not Ultra. If you look at the Ultra then eBay Refurbished has it selling for $1200 which is more expensive than the Amazon sale this thread has advertised.

Aye, same here. Cleaning the dust bin, filter, and brush of tangled hair is more than enough. Now with wet mop feature? I can just imagine the smell. No thanks. Just the vacuum will do for me.

It may be still too early to talk, I got my Q5+ month ago and and being a loyal Roomba customer for last 8 years, I will never go back to Roomba again. Q5+ beats Roomba i8+ by 10 folds.
The one issue with Q5+ is if you have too much pet hair, it has hard time to self empty the bin. I changed run times from 3 days a week to 7 days and it solved the issue. Less pet hair less clog per run.

Previous deal from roborock store. The deals on refurbs happen nearly every month.

but I don't see it now anymore, maybe it doesn't show up because I already used it up.
The Q7 Max is rated much higher than the S line so would recommend that over the other models.
