I just saw this movie and it was pretty gnarly/heavy for me. I'm a trauma survivor... pretty serious PTSD... and have worked with young adults who have been in situations those depicted in this movie. It is definitely not a movie for kids, but it deals with real topics and it's stuff that needs to be addressed.

I wanted to point out that the free tickets now are "paid forward" by people who have seen the movie (probably for free) and then "paid it forward" so that others can see it and the message of this movie can spread. I saw the movie for free, and plan to pay it forward so others can see it now.

I also want to say that after working in a treatment center for 7 years with kids who have been through this stuff, it's real, and it's big business, with big money involved. Think the drug cartels have power? There is a ton of money in human trafficking. For those of you who think that it's a non issue... that there aren't people who are paid to discourage others from watching this movie, from detracting and spreading misinformation about child trafficking, and downplaying it's seriousness, you're in for a shock. They're even here on Slickdeals and it's pretty obvious. They tend to have done a "lot of research" about Tim Ballard, OUR, etc, and will try and discredit the movie, its creators, its message, in any way they can.

Don't buy into their garbage. Go see the movie. It's free... I'm happily paying for it for you, and there's no better deal than free.

From my understanding people are paying it forward so that others can see it. This is not the theater offering it for free, it's every day people like all of us that are covering the cost of tickets for others people to see it.

Nice. It worked. Booked two tickets for free. Fees waived w/ AMC Stubs Premiere.

Make sure you don't have any AMC Stubs credit, otherwise it will try to use that first. The way around is it to attempt to book something, then while the credit is tied up do another booking and then the credit won't be applied.

Hey, don't judge a book by its cover, it's honestly a totally different kind of pandering/preachy movie than I thought by the title Sound of Freedom.

Makes sense that it's popular with the comments here.

I just got back from seeing this film. It was fantastic. Best movie I have seen in years and probably a top 10 all time list for me. Claps from the crowd after the movie ended.

Not "preachy" or "pandering". I just saw it. Not a religious film at all. Maybe I am just misunderstanding your statement? I can say it is fantastic. Great acting, great cast, great directing, and great story.

Two reasons, one is it's Jim Caviezel with Mira Sorvino. Reason two, very good rating on IMDB and not your everyday "Comic Book" movie. I was searching for more info on this movie to pre-purchase tickets and really got lucky finding these two tickets for FREE.

I saw this movie last night. I payed to see it. It really brings human trafficking into perspective, and its just horrible to see what some of these children have to suffer through. It's a 1.5 billion trade and growing. My only thought is, it doesn't offer normal people a real outlet to act on these cartels.

Well, I went to the theatre last night. Not surprisingly, all three showings of this had sold out. That tends to happen when you give away free tickets. I didn't even bother to stick my head in to see how many people actually attended my showing and how many redeemed just for reward points or instead went to see another movie like I did. Asteroid City was OK, BTW. But I'd say you have to be a fan of Wes Anderson. If you aren't you might not enjoy it.
