Taking 5,000IU of D3 per day will increase your blood levels by 50ng/mL and put you in the optimal range for D3 levels. As long as you are also supplementing 100mcg of K2 MK7(to avoid hypercalcemia), this dose is ideal. The recommended daily allowance of 400iu only keeps you from having symptoms from deficiency and is in no way optimal. Source: I am a medical professional.

Fakespot is a D with and adjusted rating of 2 stars if anyone cares.
I definitely take fakespot with a grain of salt. Some of my best purchases, they've given a D... while some sketchy products get b's quite often.

Not a good product. Bio-Tech Pharmacal cost $6 for 100 and is made in the U.S.A. Pure cholecalciferol powder in tiny gelatin capsules. I won't buy d3 in liquid gel caps due to undesirable carrier agents, impurities and lack of effectiveness as proven to me by serum assay.
Thanks Doc !

Wish the dosage was larger.
I take 30K IU per day so I have to stick to the 10K pills.

I am very Vitamin D deficient. My endocrinologist advises me to take the combo pill with K2 for proper absorption.

Just an observation, it's a lot more expensive per dose than the Vitamin D3 (same brand).

5000 IU or 125 mcg is OVERKILL.. Just buy a good D3 brand with only 2000 IU.. That's why they want to get rid of them.

Even your poop is gonna change to a red beet colored LOL

so it will take you to exactly 50ng/mL without knowing how long they are taking it for nor their starting blood levels?

No, it will increase your current blood levels by 50ng/mL. And that increase will only be maintained as long as you take 5,000IU per day. Your levels will raise 1 ng/mL per 100IU of D3 taken per day. This varies some depending on your D3 absorption, when you take it during the day, taken with a fatty meal, etc. Any D3 blood level range between 50 and 100ng/mL is perfectly safe and optimal for D3 benefits.
