What is wrong with QHD + 4090? It's no desktop GPU but it's a great res for a 17 inch laptop and it's plenty capable.

I have QHD+4080 on a Legion Pro 7i and it powers through current gen games maxed out. If I needed a boost in performance I'd crank DLSS 3 up.

It's a 17" screen. Not an appreciable difference at the distances you'll be using it at, and if 4k gaming is important to you, you're probably using it with a monitor anyway. 17" gaming is miserable.

You are thinking this is equivalent to the 4090 desktop which this is not. Actually because this is equivalent to the 4080 16GB desktop with lower power limit, 1440p is what you want to use. This way you can max out the graphic settings at 1440p and still get above 60fps with this laptop gpu.

Still this is a bit expensive compared to before. Search for 4090 hp laptop and this laptop has been cheaper.

Except for the mediocre brightness at this price, this is actually a really good deal for a 4090 laptop. The cheapest you'll find right now.
