This is a relatively new version of this product (35 pint with pump). It has been selling for about $150 since it was released a couple months ago, which is a great price itself since it has a pump. The normal 35 pint model hovers around $200-$250 and the 50 pint with pump is usually $300-$350.
We've had this model for a month and use it in a small bathroom and it seems to be working well. The negative reviews indicate that it isn't as effective in bigger spaces, but I haven't tested that yet.
One common piece of confusion with the Midea cube pump models is how to get the pump to actually do anything. In order for the pump to turn on, the bucket has to basically be full and the unit has to be turned on. To test, you can fill up the bucket with water (probably higher than you think) and turn it on and wait a bit. You do have to enable pump functionality, but there isn't a button to make the pump work or anything.
For smart home fans, this integrates well with Home Assistant, which is mainly how I have been using it. I have a separate humidity sensor in my bathroom that I use instead of the built-in one (which also means that I don't know how well it works using the built-in sensor). I have "continuous mode" turned on and then Home Assistant turns it on and off over Wifi. It does require the cloud, so it won't work if internet is down.
I have used the app a little bit and it works well enough. It seems like all settings can be managed without the app (directly on the device) if you don't want to connect to Wi-Fi though.
Edit: Forgot to add that I am buying a second one since this is such a great price. The built-in pump

Edit: running for a few days and seems great. In basement, don't have a concern for noise. Haven't tried the app for the smart features. I will probably get another to replace my other unit (which runs, but I always wonder how well it works.)
Also, my Midea a/c units have been running like champs.

The features, weight and dimensions are identical to Consumer Reports #1 MAD35S1QWT, $245 at Amazon. The differences are lower airflow 188/159 vs. 255/215 CFM and slightly higher noise 49/42.5 vs. 48 Db.

I am using a this one that i bought at Menards (ill be returning it) on my main floor of my home (2500sq) It def works. It is placed in a different room about 20 ft away. My thermostat will creep up to about 56%-57% humidity without this running. With this on the thermostat will read about 52. Just the supplement I need to keep the ac from running to dehumidify during the day. My house is well insulated, rarely will get warmer than 76 even on a 95 degree day but ive battled humidity. This seems to be the curr for what ales me
The only thing that worries me, is the bucket isn't as strong a plastic as I would like. It's ok, but not as strong as I'd like. Be careful lowering the main unit onto the bucket, as repeated lifting and lowering of the onto it, might crack something on the bucket, if done aggressively/over lots of uses.
I'm planning on running the drain line to the corner of my garage at some point and just using the pump to empty into some plants just outside. Avoiding wear on the bucket and added convenience for me.
The wifi features on it are super simple to use and works very well and very responsive. I like the Auto on and off feature that uses the built in humidity sensor to keep the humidity within a range. Compared it to another humidity and temp sensor I have and they were about the same, so it seems to be fairly accurate.
100 degree garage temps here in Florida, combined with the garage sometimes hitting 85+ humidity, was wrecking havoc on things. Now it sits at a nice 50% humidity. Even after I open the garage for a while then recluse it, it has it back to 50% surprisingly fast, maybe an hour or two even. Could easily get away with using this in a much bigger garage or interior space I would think. Great deal, great product. 😊👍
