Most of the refineries and tankers come in via the gulf of Mexico and then it's piped up the east coast that and besides the hurricanes in the south the weather on the east coast is very stable.

It is significantly more expensive to transport the oil and gas to the west coast due to earthquakes and the distance.

lol. i actually knew about the pipe vs truck/train fuel transport, but my lizard brain didn't make the connection. yea that makes sense. really sucks for the people up there.

Those countries are also much smaller and have leaps and bounds better mass transit than the United States does. Also much less people in Europe even own a car.

The United States is 831 per 1000 people. The EU is 567 per 1000. That and the fact these small countries don't have gas reserves jacks the price up. Hence why most people over there drive incredibly fuel efficient, small cars. The idea of people driving around empty pickup trucks as commuter vehicles and as a sign of how masculine they are really isn't a thing in Europe.

No such thing. It's a myth. Unless the gas has become unintendedly contaminated then it's all the same. "watered down" gas is not real
