So "proprietary" pickups and not Tex Mex. Wow.

Edit - Their illustrious web team has "proprietary pickups" on the spec sheet for quite a lot of other guitars from other companies as well. Wow.

"A limited-edition Strat with Tex-Mex single-coil pickups."

"The power trio of Tex-Mex single-coil pickups are crisp and articulate, giving you that authentic Fender tone with a modern edge."

The spec sheet says otherwise. Which makes no sense to call it a Tex Mex unless it has those pickups!Confused

Tempting deal tho.

$650 should be the normal price. These MIM Strats are not worth their $900 MSRP. They are great guitars but not at that price.

I got a EVH MIM striped bumblebee for $699 from Adorama. Plays as well as any U.S.A. made one I've owned. But can't say I'd say it's worth the usual $1150 price tag.

I'd agree that the MIM fender branded player ones should be coming with better pickups (this one apparently does) than the "Proprietary" Player ones for the cost of them these days. 🙃.

How does this stack up to the recent player strat in British racing green? https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/837008

They are definitely tex mex pickups. That's the whole point of the tex mex strat. This is a phenomenal deal.

still miss the good old days before covid, when the MIM fender is below $500
