We got this last time after trying the V11 Outsize in a prior deal. It's a nice vacuum but there are a couple caveats I wish I'd considered before buying so thought I'd list them here:

1. This will not replace a corded vacuum if you have a big house with a lot of pets. It's simply not powerful enough. It will require more work and therefore more battery to do the same job as a couple passes with a corded Dyson. That said it still is surprisingly strong for how light it is.

2. Speaking of batteries...ugh. First one had a fault battery so back ot went. Be sure to test them right away. We cannot get more than a few rooms down in a roughly 2k sq ft house before the battery needs charging so we ended up needing to buy another. One replacement battery from Dyson is $150. Want another OEM charging cable? $30.

3. It comes with a wall mount but nothing to hold all the accessories. I bought a stand from Amazon that was like $30 and seems like it will work well.

All in I probably paid somewhere around $750 for the vacuum, extra battery, and stand even with the deal on the vacuum. I never wanted a vacuum that expensive but you know what they say....happy wife, happy life...
Really curious about your first point. We've been using a $1200 Miele corded vacuum for years and got a V10 (w/ soft roller) just for cars and maybe the hard wood floors when we drop a glass or something and dont wanna lug out the big Miele. Ended up stopping using the Miele all together b/c the soft roller head on low power is perfect for the floors with 1 dog who sheds a lot. Even carpet it's wildly strong on lowest setting.

Never found battery life an issue b/c lowest power is sufficient for hardwood and low or med is fine for carpet. Also found myself able to vacuum way quicker because not having to constantly shift outlets and only able to do section of the house. Way more freedom and ability to do quick 5 min vacuum session that cover a surprising amount of ground. Kind changes the way you vacuum if you just do your house once a week, but we vacuum every other day because the dog so having the ability to quickly do the half of downstairs or a room upstairs was a lot nicer.

Huge Dyson skeptic b/c I think the plastics are chintzy and parts are overpriced, but there's something to be said for the efficiency of cyclonic filtration. I do dislike emptying the bin so regularly compared to the HEPA bags from Miele, but those were also a surprisingly expensive recurring cost. $10 for an additional filter for the Dyson is highly recommended because you have to wash it pretty regularly. If (when) the battery dies I'll buy the Milwaukee M18 conversion kit and just use Milwaukee batteries at that point. Do dislike their whole battery situation.

5 extra attachments compared to the Amazon $552 deal from last week. Plus Costco 2-year warranty. Might make this the better deal?

This appears to have the newer fluffy head vs the most recent Amazon deal. I've been wanting to get one of the fluffy head Dysons for my wood floors, but haven't yet convinced myself to pull the trigger, and I'm not a Costoco member.

Does anybody know what are the extra attachments included in this deal compared to the amazon one. You think its worth cancelling the amazon order and ordering this? Amazon price was 551.72

Just going by the Slickdeals Amazon listing, this includes everything in the Amazon deal plus the Mattress tool, Flexi Crevice Tool and the Fluffy Optic Cleaner head vs the Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head in the Amazon deal. The Fluffy Optic Head is a supposedly newer design and has a brighter laser. I'm not sure if there are any other differences between the two heads. The brighter laser may be the only difference.

Edit - This also has the Up Top Adapter.

I did for the better fluffy optic head and the other 2 attachments. Plus you can't beat Costco's return policy

While I think they are both great deals, I probably would've gone with Amazon if I didn't have a Costco membership… But personally, I really wanted to have a few extra tools for the vacuum and also the updated fluffy head that comes with this one. Plus the peace of mind buying from Costco that I won't have a big hassle if anything goes wrong.

So personally, this was a better choice for me. But if you don't really care about getting the extra attachments for mattress/upholstery/car type vacuuming and the newer/brighter fluffy head, or if you don't have a Costco membership, then the other deal might be better for you. You should make the best decision for your own needs. Smilie

Thanks and repped for the details and I have added this information in the OP. Smilie

Man, I just bought this thing full price on 6/30. Does anyone know if Costco will just credit me if I reach out or do I need to reorder and return the $700 one?
