Add the M18 hatchet for return later and the fuel quick-lock trimmer, with an 8.0ah battery and rapid charger, comes out to $208.47 (fyi, again, you must return the hatchet for the itemized price).

Solid deal. Closest for the kit was a year ago and within $10 of this. Rapid charger and an 8.0ah.

I'm not seeing the hatchet as an option. I see blower, edger, trimmer, pole saw and trimmer line as add-ons.

Just purchase a chainsaw and the hatchet. Chainsaw ended up being 241ish.

Can I return it on the spot? Like place the order for pickup and when picking up say I no longer want the hatchet?

With buy more save more yes this is possible. Just select one for delivery and one for pick up. If you want it today select the one you want for pick up and the other for delivery. Then once the order is placed go to your account and cancel the delivery.

Note for "free tool" deals (which this isn't) you can not do this. Both items have to have the same delivery option.

Great price with the hack. Wouldn't HD take back the buy more save more discount when returning the hatchet?

I bought the Ego Trimmer during the last sale with the kit battery otherwise I definitely would be in for the quik-loc 8ah battery with this deal.

This trimmer is awesome. I have the edger attachment too, and I love them. The battery size is great. I clean my yard using the trimmer, edger and blower with a single charge of a 5.0Ah.

Rapid charger made the difference for me. Even at $10/ah. I considered the $179 option but if you want quick-lock for the future you're leaving that functionality on the table.
