Is there a Costco credit card that still offers an extended warranty on purchases? I have the Costco Anywhere Visa card from Citi but the extended warranty benefit was dropped in January 2023.
Many credit cards offer an extended warranty on purchases. Contact your credit card company for your specific cards. Don't forget online, Costco takes all major credit cards, not just visa. It does not need to be a Costco credit card.

If you get a dehumidifier like this for a basement and I don't have a floor drain, will running the drain hose from the dehumidifier up to a sink work? I've heard it won't drain properly.

Elevate the dehumidifier so that the outlet for the drain hose is higher than the sink.

A drain hose uses gravity so you'd need to have the humidifier above the sink, otherwise, you will need a model with a built in pump.

How will this work in an attached garage? The humidity is 85%. Debating between this and portable ac however I am unable to vent air.

Bought an 80pt dehumidifier for my florida townhome. Helps control indoor humidity. Can easily fill up in one day during peak FL humidity. Only downfall is the heat that it creates and the electricity it consumes. I've had mine for a few years now and the coils are just now freezing over. Looking to see how to best clean it, hopefully fixable.

I use this in my garage right now... I put it on auto and it keeps the humidity to 50%. If I turn it off then it goes up to 70-75% or higher depending on the conditions outside.
I'm just manually dumping the bucket.. Probably every 2-3 days. When I get around to it, I plan to hook up the drain hose. It is one of those fridge water dispenser sized hoses and it's pretty long so I can probably just run it down the side and out under the garage door.

Thanks so much, OP! Just ordered 3!

My parents and I had each bought the same one last year from Costco. It was $139.99 and also marked down to $99.99.

With it being so humid in NYC this summer, my parents and I had wished we bought another one since it works well in our respective apartments. My parents will have another 2 since their apartment is bigger than mine Wink

It is a bit noisy but it gets the job done!

I just purchased 35-Pint Midea Cube Dehumidifier that was on FP yesterday. Should I cancel and purchase this model? If anyone has some experience. I am buying a humidifier for the first time.

A common feedback is that these units only work for 2-3 years. With 1-year credit card extended warranty. I am getting 2 years for Midea vs 3 years on Hisense.
I've got the media 35 and running great for two summers

Had a hisense, not this model, lasted 3 years. all dehumidifiers I've had for our basement only last 3 years average.
Got a GE one that has been running constantly in my basement for years now. No issues and had a washable filter. Liked it so much that I bought another one used off of Facebook Marketplace.

A split ac system would work well for a garage and most provide heating and cooling

Got this last time it was on sale and got a $45 rebate check from ComEd last week. Simple few question paperwork and check arrived 2.5 weeks later. $55 after rebate
