Technically, no.

You have to remember that they're probably balancing the motors on level surfaces and most residential units are anything but level. When you bring them home and run them, they're probably running off axis, which is bad for any motor.

Putting them on a dead level surface will get you the most life out of them, but that's not always feasible.

On more expensive units with a little bit of QC, you will find that there might be small weights attached to the fan blades to balance them. Taking these weights off completely or repositioning them will help rebalance an off axis setup.

For ones that don't have these, you can buy fan blade balancing kits on Amazon for about $5.

Using Super Lube brand synthetic grease on the hub will also eliminate any bearing noise.

I bought one of these a couple months ago. I thought it was a great deal at $50. When I was putting the base on I noticed there was a little gap at the base. I put a little piece of electrical tape and a couple felt pads there. It has been super quiet. Simple fix to possible squeak issue

Had bought the base model of it for few bucks less and found it value for money. The premium model definitely feels premium compared to the base model. Not sure if there's any upgrade on the performance though. I would buy it again.

I purchased and returned all of the previous version due to the squeaking / rubbing noise after using it for a while. It was mentioned as an issue and I really hope they fixed it. Thankfully Costco's return policy works well.

I had a Lasko one I bought back in like 2012 that worked well and stayed nice and quiet.. unfortunately, it seems with the race to the bottom, they've all gone to heck in terms of quality control and manufacturers don't seem to care about an actually quiet/silent fan.

The two Woozoo fans I got from Costco a couple months back are the same - the motors are inefficient & produce a lot of vibration & hum, and the oscillating mechanisms have developed scraping & various other distinct noises.

they cleared out their "base" model half a yr ago for $12 each. actually its not a base at all. came with full feature with remote control. except some fancy led display like in this model. nobody was interested at them even at that $12 pricetag though. took them more than a month to clear their inventory
