I've had multiple sets of tires installed at Costco. Never had any problems with damage to my car or rims.

If you did experience any problems, I'm sure Costco would make it right.

This is a great deal.

I love Costco for tires. I've never had an issue, and their replacement/warranty is spot on. I'm not a car guy, and one of my favorite things about Costco tires is Costco has a certain level of product quality, so no matter what tire you get, you are essentially guaranteed a quality tire. Takes the stress out of tire shopping for me.

I don't think the level of hate for Costco tires is warranted here (I've purchased 4 sets from them over the years).

From what I saw, the $80 installation fee is added but then they take away the $120 off so it's a net $40 discount on four tires.

My car is a 2022 and they still force you to get the TPMS service packs. In my 2 locations their installers look like they hired them from the most wanted list..... On the other hand their warranty is (or used to be) the best. You go in with a bad tire and leave with a new one for free, that may have changed.
I had to use the road hazard warranty after 500 miles on a tire that I got on a sale like this. Since the tire was so new they gave me 100% of the value towards a new tire BUT since I got the tire on sale I had to pay the difference between the sale price and the full price which I thought was pretty lame. So on this sale if you got a unrepairable flat the day after the sale you would be paying roughly $30 or $45 for a new tire depending on your initial discount.

So, you're complaining that they gave you 100% of the value towards a new purchase? Not many places do that unless you buy "warranty certificates" for each tire that costs extra, and they'll still prorate you.

Last time I tried to order PS AS4 that showed in stock Costco randomly cancelled my order a couple days later — I was willing to wait a couple extra days if needed too. Guess I'll try again
I don't think they ever had it. I had it in the cart and an hour later it was gone then OOS. They might have sold out too right when I was looking at it.

This still is really expensive. Costco was one of the highest when I was tiring shopping for my Prius last year. Walmart was the best deal by far.
FYI the Costco price includes a road hazard warranty, other shops charge extra. My sister just paid $30 per tire for road hazard at Discount Tire.

To be fair, the whole point of a warranty is to replace some thing. Usually the whole thing, not just part of it. Because you know if the price was less now, they wouldn't give you a refund.

What tires did you get for your Prius at Walmart?

Agreed on the overall description of warranty, but it doesn't mean the same thing for tires... what that poster described is a standard practice for tire "warranties".

Prepare for a 3~4 hour wait for any service you get at the tire center

Never ever passed 90 minutes for me (at multiple locations) as long as I had an appointment.

I've been getting my tires from Costco for close to 10 yrs now, never had any issues. The tires were always installed properly, no shaking or wobbling of the tires due to incorrect balancing. I've had issues with balancing from other shops.

Anyone having trouble getting the discount to reflect in cart? I'm trying to buy a set of CrossClimate2's (235/55R18) which shows that it's eligible for the $180 discount. The discount displays all the way through adding to cart, but once I go to the cart (with the items added), the discount no longer appears and it tries to charge me the full amount.

What happens if you let your Costco membership expire and then have an issue with a tire?
