I was demoing the AMD Noise Suppression stuff late last year with a friend's RX 6000 series over Discord to compare and I wasn't at all impressed. I'm sure it has improved since but it kind of scared me back on to the NVIDIA GPU bandwagon given my typical noise situation at home.

I do hope AMD continues to invest here as it is one of those dumb features I wish didn't shackle me to a specific manufacturer. I'll have to check out those open source alternatives you shared.

1300 would still be an absolute joke. The 3080ti was 1200... And that was during the height of covid and ship shortage.

Hellhound 7900XTX was just $830 last week on Amazon at $170 cheaper and 24GB VRAM hard to pay even $999.99 for 4080

Excellent price for a 4080.

Went with the MSI Gaming X from Amazon last week; going to return and go for the MSI 4080 Suprim @ Newegg instead, it's going for $1189 and they're price protecting against their upcoming "fantastech" sale (aka Prime Day competitor) coming up.

Nice to see these start to come down below MSRP!

I've tracked 4080 pricing since launch and only previous 4080 deals at this price were open box on eBay. It's never sold for $1000 new at any major retailer.

Tempting... my 1080Ti is getting a little long in the tooth but still chugging away well at 1440p. The smart move is to wait. Though if we have another multi-year GPU drought I will regret that decision.

It we have another GPU shortage, it won't be because of crypto. I think most people finally learned not to waste their money on gambling on crypto.
