If there are heating issues, before trying to re paste it or send it back check if there is room to tighten the screws. The cooling block may not be seated on the die properly due to lose screws.

The 7900XT is ~80% of the performance of the 7900XTX for ~80% of the price. What are you getting at? The 7900XT was incredibly overpriced at the $900 MSRP and the prices have corrected to be more in line with the performance. They're both still overpriced (equally) considering AMD's massive cost savings due to the chiplet design. They're still not as overpriced as Nvidia's 40 series, but that's where we're at this generation until people stop buying these overpriced cards. Either choose the lesser of two evils or don't buy at all (what I'm doing). The better value is to buy last generation cards.

terrible for VR. there are driver issues which make this worse than the 6950 XT for VR.
VR anything go with Nvidia
