Just for future reference, pcpartpicker.com is a great way to check if parts are compatible.

As far as RAM, I've never heard of them, and I build PCs fairly often (4 in the last year). My bigger concern would be the compatibility of it with the board. My rule of thumb is to always verify RAM compatibility straight from the motherboard website.

That deal is ddr4, so if you already have a ddr4 based system it would allow you to reuse your existing RAM and save some money. This deal is ddr5 and includes ram, so while it costs a good bit more, you are a little bit future-proofed since not only could you upgrade to a 13th generation cpu, you can likely reuse this ddr5 in your next system.
i would not count on future proofing. Over time DDR5 will get cheaper and faster. It is unlikely the ram you buy today will make sense by the time you want to build a new system. It would be like building a system today or last year using ddr4 2400.

Maybe, but this isn't ddr5 4800 cl40 junk. This deal has ddr5 6000 cl32. Unless you plan on some very intricate overclocking or extremely memory sensitive applications, regular daily use won't see any difference between this and whatever comes down the line in 2 years. Even now, The Sweet spot for ddr4 in price to performance is still only DDR4 3200, which has been available for what, 8 or 9 years?

I've used g.skill a lot, but have had 64 gb of 3600 ddr4 OLOY and it has been working great for over a year.
