By the numbers this is a great deal. But I just can't pull the trigger. If you aren't off grid then a generator is such a more economical backup mechanism (especially tri fuel with NG hookup). If you ARE off grid then there are much better battery and inverter setups. Custom server rack battery systems and inverters can do a lot more than these for a fraction of the cost.

To me, the best use case for these is something like a shed or workshop. Pair it with a small amount of solar and just provide enough power for what you need. Another good option would be pairing this with the Ecoflow smart panel to automatic failover to help deal with frequent minor outages.

This bundle should also qualify for a 30% Federal Tax Credit.

Check out DIY Solar with Will Prowse on YouTube. He's got so much good info there about custom systems that are super easy to assemble.

What do you actually "need" to qualify for this? I'm assuming since I rent an apartment I don't qualify?

Looks like you might still be able to qualify.

"You may claim the residential clean energy credit for improvements to your main home, whether you own or rent it."
"You can't claim the credit if you're a landlord or other property owner who doesn't live in the home."

Oh dang. So it would be better if I bought 3kw and got to use the credit then. Rather than the delta 2 + extra battery deal I bought

7.2kWh for 5.2k is pretty good. A powerwall is 14k and costs about 9k but about 5k to install. You can just get a transfer switch installed and plug this in if I'm reading the promo material correctly

Powerwall comes with built in charging inverter and solar hookup. Cost will add up here if you try to integrate these into a solar setup for charging. Also, PW+ can go up to 9.5KW.

Any suggestion to set up a good combo mainly for balance off the cost of peak time energy cost? Not exactly for a apocalypse need but only for self-energy efficiency and beating the price hike.

At 7.2kwh, how long do you think it will power a 2 ton ac, fridge, and some led lights?

Where can I get this "custom server rack battery system and inverter" setup from?

Depends on the efficiency of your a/c. Could be 2500 could be 3500. (From what I found online anyways)

A fridge is around 120/w and led lights are negligible.

So for continuous ac a fridge and lights you're looking at 2-3 hours.
