Just a note, no lidar on this model (uses a up facing camera), so ends up bumping into eveything even after mapping your room.

It sounds like you got a newer revision of the Shark robot than the one listed here. This one must make a complete run of the house and it doesn't have the benefit of a laser system to map out the home without vacuuming the entire home. As someone who operates a RV1001AE, they can easily get lost when trying to find the base if the lighting condition isn't great. This one also has a gross cone inside the dust bin at the base - something the newer bases have moved beyond in favor of easier to clean designs.

This model is awful for navigation. Don't buy. Bumps into everything.
