Wrong. Many items are cheaper through Business. On the consumer account I see notifications for lots of items that they're cheaper on Business.

There may be some exceptions but to categorically say everything is more on Business is patently false. You should fact check yourself before posting.

Anyone know for sure if this has any negative effect on grandfathered Prime accounts that have multiple adult sub accounts?

Some sellers offer business only pricing for products, so you can save a couple bucks from time to time, so having Prime on a business account (at $0) can be useful in some rare cases for that since it'll give you the free shipping and such. Not common, but it could come up.

Is there any downside to adding the business account?
Only downside so far I experienced is getting unwelcomed Amazon Business emails, which I can just unsubscribe to, other than that, zero downsides.

Thanks! Been wanting to get prime on my Business Account but was disappointed that I had to pay twice even if I have Prime on my personal account.
Same here so this is perfect timing. Great post.

I didn't try this free one (dou). But my paid one ($180 annual fee) is not welcome for Amazon prime day deals. I cancelled my business prime membership today.

"Approved customers can get 5% back or 90-day terms with the Amazon Business Prime American Express Card"

To continue getting cash back, you have to get another credit card? Can a personal Amazon card be used with Amazon Business & still receive cash back?

I'll add one more data point. In every instance I've seen a difference the biz side has always been higher.

I've had a business account for some time, and I've seen that info on product web pages. But when I've checked, it's not actually cheaper at Business. Once there was a deal at Business that wasn't showing on the regular Amazon site.

From my point of view it hasn't been worth shopping on Business, i've placed very few orders there. I wasn't going to pay for prime again, or pay for shipping. I just use a business credit card on the regular site.

Now that they've removed the shipping barrier to using Business, I'll check it more often and see.

I think the solo account just needs to be the business account. They are trying to limit the business size that gets Duo for free, is my guess.

Exactly, why doesn't it tell you more clearly what you're signing up for and that there is no charge? The user interface on this is terrible. It really looks like you are signing up for a paid membership.

I didn't get a charge. And the prime membership page shows that my business account is signed up for Duo. But I wasted some time checking that.

A better design for the sign up process would have made it clear what I was signing up for, and afterwards what I had signed up for, and the $0 charge.

scanning everything to find definite answer, looking in the business acct shows no payment method so I'd assume it couldn't charge? But the linking to a personal account makes me wonder would it just default to my personal wallet?

I never could get approved for a business account. I don't know why. I tried several times but I am too busy to spend a day feeding them more and more paperwork. The govt 's demands is bad enough.

Has anyone been able to figure out how to get past the need for a 2nd unique phone #?
Using my existing student prime acct I'm able to signup + receive validation email, but then there's a ph # field, and if I add my # it says already used, then makes me start over…
Also, tried using short code apps like vNu, SMS Virtual, etc. Same result
