Is this better than Coway Airmega AP-1512HH(W) that's $150

Limited-time deal for Prime Members: Coway Airmega AP-1512HH(W) True HEPA Purifier with Air Quality Monitoring, Auto, Timer, Filter Indicator, and Eco Mode, 16.8 x 18.3 x 9.7, White https://a.co/d/blpyCJP

Update: winix has VOC (odor) sensor vs coway's dust sensor, coway can move more air due to diff type of carbon/charcoal pre-filter. So winix for odor/gas reduction vs coway for dust/particle

It's $117.08

Thanks for posting, but if you add the price to OP/Title, the post would be more useful.

Really good price for the 5500-2. Real shame it uses a different HEPA filter (H versus the A models) than the 5300-2, else it would be nice to have overlap in all the extra filters I got. These models work well for medium to small rooms.

No WiFi is a deal breaker. I add my WiFi models to home assistant so I can turn them back on after a power outage. When you live with people with asthma and have a filter in every room it's a real chore to go around and turn them back on.

I've got a similar filler, nice units.

Only con is it's quite large and the auto sensor kicks the fan into high mode when cooking and it's very loud

It will work with your 5300 filter, they're about the same size. You might have to shim or squish it a little. but they fit.

Thanks, that's what it looked like from videos; I know some people squeeze in the same carbon filters from the 5300-2 into the 5500-2 on top of the fancy carbon filter - do you know if you can just use the 5300-2 HEPA and carbon filters? Would definitely jump on this if it functionally still works.

Yea, you can use the same carbon filter, you might need to shim if it's not thick enough, or just use 2 sheets. Overall though, it doesn't matter, the carbon filter doesn't do anything, it's not nearly thick enough like in industrial hvacs.

The costco one 545 has the wifi, but the filter is a bit smaller. but you get extra filters, so it's still technically the better deal.

I'm on the fence, since Winix including this model also changed from their korea oem to a thailand oem based on reviews. Build quality apparently has dropped Frown, not totally sure, if someone buys it, let us know.

I used to have that problem with window AC units before having central air. Would really suck if I lost power for two minutes and was not home for hours, would come home to a sweltering house. I like my wifi Winix from Costco since the app lets you monitor indoor air quality over time and also tracks hours of usage in regards to filter changes. App also gives you nearby outdoor air quality, I make sure to have both air filters on on days where wildfire smoke is bad. Funny thing is, when I bought the wifi one about a year ago, my thought was "why would I ever need to monitor outdoor air quality??" LOL.
