Update: winix has VOC (odor) sensor vs coway's dust sensor, coway can move more air due to diff type of carbon/charcoal pre-filter. So winix for odor/gas reduction vs coway for dust/particle

Only con is it's quite large and the auto sensor kicks the fan into high mode when cooking and it's very loud

Thanks, that's what it looked like from videos; I know some people squeeze in the same carbon filters from the 5300-2 into the 5500-2 on top of the fancy carbon filter - do you know if you can just use the 5300-2 HEPA and carbon filters? Would definitely jump on this if it functionally still works.
I'm on the fence, since Winix including this model also changed from their korea oem to a thailand oem based on reviews. Build quality apparently has dropped
