Browsing thru my offers I came across this one here. I do not see any mention of a minimum purchase required OR I just do not see it.

Staples $50 back as statement credit.
To earn credit, click the button above and complete your purchase in the browser that opens. Purchases made through a merchant's app will not qualify for the rebate.

The pro doesn't outweigh the con. This is a vague promotion to begin with. 1. Is there a purchase minimum? 2. Will credit actually be posted? Some said there is no minimum some said it's $150. If it's $150 and you want to waste time arguing with Capital one with screenshots and whatnot, be my guest. If it's really no minimum, my sincere congratulations to you on all the free stuff to your hearts content
Wow... what happen to this phrase

"Even with $50 back with no minimum required, I'd still feel like I overpaid. Lol"

Should I have tried this last night? Only 2% back for me, and logging out doesn't help.
Same here. It was showing $50 back offer an hour ago. I paused to think what to buy and now all I have is 2% cashback. Slickdeals effect maybe :-)

I also only see 2% cashback, but I had the $50 cashback open in another tab, clicked through, and it still activated, including the screen showing "$50 back activated."

I saved screenshots of the offer and $50 back activated; hopefully the offer still goes through and posts to my account.

Thanks OP! Ended up buying a Logitech MX mouse/keyboard set. If the $50 credit goes through then it should be a little cheaper than the deal that was posted a couple days back.

Since you seem to have some experience with Capital One, maybe I can ask you. Do you know if there's a limit of 1 use for this rebate? (or in general with C1 rebates) I see this when I drill into the full T&C but this can't be right: "Account Credits are limited to a total of $1000.00 per Qualifying Card Account every three (3) billing cycles." So we can use this repeatedly till we hit $1,000?
When it comes to getting a fixed dollar credit such as this one, yes it's usually a limit of one for the period the offer. Normally the terms would state the date the offer is valid until, this one is strangely missing an end date. Also it has the following verbiage in the terms:

"Credits for subscription services are only awarded to new customers in their first billing period after the merchant has confirmed your payment has processed."

I believe that is an error and "subscription services" should have been "purchase". The "new customers" also is referring to first time users of the promotion, which is in line with their other fixed credit offers.

It makes me believe that the person who inputted this offer into their system was probably new and didn't know what they were doing. Just another reason why I take screenshots to help prove my case if needed later on.

Can you send me the screen shot? I forgot to take one myself

Staples cancelled one of the items of my order due to it not being available. On Capital One website i see refund for original charge and new charge. Hope this doesn't complicate things.

If you go into capital one shopping and select shopping trips>change the filters to pending and show all trips, you'll see anytime, with a time stamp, that you activated the offers. I've used this to dispute one in the past.

After looking at what you posted, I am leaning toward Capital One NOT honoring the $50 rebate.

I made a qualifying purchase for $101.xx last night.

I did a sort by "Trips with purchases" and nothing showed up.

A sort by "Trips without purchases" shows Staples.

Staples already has the item as shipped. I wonder if I should cancel it. I really don't want to argue with Capital One, even though I have screenshots from beginning to end of my shop from Staples.

UNLESS.... Staples has not updated Capital One of my purchase since I do not have a tracking number from Staples. Even though it says "shipped", UPS still has not picked up the item.

EDIT: I just did a search on Capital One Offers just to see if the Staples $50 rebate offer is still there, it only shows Staples 2% offer. I believe Capital one took it down. I should have checked last night after I redeemed the offer. At least at that time, I would feel more confident that the Offer was redeemed and no longer showed up.

You seem to mistake the core customer of all these office supply companies and where they make all their money. The retail customer like you and me on Slickdeals makes up for almost nothing of their overall revenue -- they rely almost totally on corporate and business customers. You'd be surprised at how little "price shopping" goes on at a corporate level.

This is pretty much what my company does. They just tell me to order everything on Staples even though it's ridiculously overpriced. I asked them for a Business Amazon account but just got ignored. It's not my money so I'm not going to try that hard to help them save money if they don't care.

Same, I get nothing under "Trips with purchases" even though I purchased my order with the link and CapOne account still open. If they don't honor, I am refunding my order in store.

same, my visit shows up under "trips without purchases". it is still only a pending transaction (the charge), even though my order is being delivered today.
i have a feeling they will not honor it. i did message them on twitter, see if they respond.
