Gotham Knights is a poorly reviewed video game currently on sale for $17
Yeet = throw.

So if you got a cheap bad game as your "gift" you would want to throw the projector
When I was planning on setting up a projector in our loft, this ended up being my #1 choice after weeks of research. Originally was going to go ultra short throw but was worried about kid/dog running around and bumping into it, moving it, etc. Also latency.

This checked all the boxes until I found out that I'd be about 18" short of where I need to place it due to a strange angle in my ceiling. If it would have fit in the loft, I'd have gone with it for sure, and that was basically at full price (minus Cashback sites/etc).

If you're looking for a gaming projector and don't need UST, I don't know that there's anything much better. The JMGO N1 from Kickstarter is supposed to blow it away spec-wise and is $200 off on Amazon right now, I would absolutely check out a lot of reviews though since it's a new product without a lot of market time.
The projector is awesome, a perfect mix of movie/gaming/3-D at a shorter than normal throw ratio compared to standard projectors (120" around 12ft 150" around 15ft to keep it simple).

Movies it had a great picture, good contrast, a great amount of lumens for even daytime watching. I did this without a screen directly on a white wall. At night it looked amazing even without the screen.

Gaming, extremely low input lag so you can 1080p (5ms) and 4k (14ms) game and it would not impact your reflexes.

3-D, a lot of lumens produced great 3-D off course it worked very well at night, not very well during the day. This was with a bluray player .

Had it for about 5 months to play with and I thought it was great.

All that being said I think projectors in general not just this one are currently priced way higher than they should be, I would expect something like this to be under the $1500 mark. I believe I paid around $1600 for it when I got it and I thought that was on the high side of my limit. My rational is that a few years ago we saw plenty of great model projectors right around the $1k-1.4 mark that had almost identical features minus 4K.

I guess inflation pricing is still to blame or its the new normal.

Not sure about reliability on the mars pro but I would guess it is just as good, if not better for only movies. A reviewer compared it with the x3000i and said it was better although you will want a streaming device as it is not very reliable. (Like a fire cube etc) x3000i has better contrast, about same brightness. My uses are mostly sports and gaming but I ordered both to compare. Almost positive I will send the mars pro back, but it has free returns. Mars pro comes tomorrow, x3000i Saturday.
I would really like to know between the Mars pro and x3000i which one you like best when you receive them. A comparison would help a lot. I've seen videos of the two and the benq seems to have more accurate colors but the reviewer seem to like the more unnatural color of the Mars pro.
