Because it's a very well made torch that people can use for searing if you aren't in a place that you could use a larger weed burner torch and it's far cheaper than the niche torches like the grill gun and other similar products.

It is also commonly the one people use when they think the searzall is good and buy one.

I personally use mine in combination with cast iron if I'm not searing outside. Plus it has other real world uses.

Have this torch for 5+ years now. Very nice trigger start, can't go back to using pencil torches with a starter
