Bike weighs almost 50 lbs. and has mechanical disk brakes (not hydraulic). Weak 250W motor and a small battery. 6-speed drivetrain. You can do better for $900 with Lectric or other brands. This only has a big brand name going for it.

Bike weighs almost 50 lbs, which is typical for these bikes. Weaker motor and battery probably won't be an issue if you are riding on mostly flat roads, which this is designed for.

I think a lot of people are comparing this to the fat tire bikes which have been posted, but those huge tires are going to add a LOT more rolling resistance, and require a bigger motor and battery.

If you are mostly using the motor for getting up to speed, or climbing hills, then you'll probably be just fine with this. Also, tires will fit into bike racks, unlike a fat tire bike.
