Are you referring to warranty? Amazon description for the same product says TLC and 1600TBW for 2TB model.

According to the TeamGroup website: https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/c...dex_id=248 it's TLC.

There is a QLC version, but it has QLC listed on it: https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/c...dex_id=286
and it has a different part number (T253TY002T0C101) for the 2TB version.

1600TB is low? What are you planning to use it for to write more than that in 3 years? Seem like a standard warranty for budget drive IMO.

Why do you say that? 1600TB is above average. However, these numbers are just for warranty purposes and should not be used as an indicator of quality or longevity. It is possible this drive uses QLC. There is nothing indicating either way.

The Samsung is likely superior.

Thanks for the link. Though, you still can't be 100% certain. I've caught at least two companies (Silicon Power and ADATA) blatantly lying about the components in some of their drives.

Thanks - the label for QLC version is different, has 'quad level' and QLC on it. The specs are not much different from the cx2/ax2. https://docs.google.com/spreadshe...li=1#gid=0

Those spreadsheets/databases are often inaccurate for these bargain drives. Out of the four cheap SATA drives I bought in the last year, not one had the components listed in the spreadsheet. I recently bought a Team Group CX2 1TB. It came with a Phison S11 controller + 96-layer Micron TLC.
