pretty sure the reason for no returns is speculation. You buy it for $2k, then price of gold drops to $1500, you return it to get your original $2k. If stocks worked like that, you'd never lose.

Agree, but if you have extra money that you want to grow instead of sticking it under your mattress, there are options. As it pertains to this deal, I think gold is one of the worst options. But yes, spend money on yourself and your loved ones to enjoy life.
