48" is very large for a monitor - I had a 42" C2 but downsized to a 32" Alienware OLED.

Would this be a good monitor for work and basic gaming? Not buying from W00t though.

If you don't full screen everything and window it like an Apple, the 42" is perfect and super game immersive

Rather do an ultrawide curved 34" than a 42" or 48"

Really?
Because the value proposition on something that large and delicate that has been shipped at least twice, and at least one of those was for some sort of issue, is poor.
Seems obvious. But you do you.

I personally use a 42" C3 as a PC gaming monitor, on a 30" deep desk with the TV put as far back as possible. Within those parameters, it's perfect. I think 48" would feel a little too big in this scenario, but if you do have a deeper desk, then it might be OK.

Another thing is that because it's sitting farther back, it's harder for me personally to use it at 100% scaling for web browsing, emails, etc. I find 125% to be good. It's still usable at 100%, but I find it to add unnecessary strain. Maybe a 48" would be more usable at 100%, I dunno.

My main use case for the OLED TV is entertainment (gaming, movies, etc.), and it's perfect. For work (office work with Excel etc.), I find it more helpful to use multiple, smaller monitors for compartmentalizing multiple apps, files, etc. In this scenario, I can have the monitors closer and use them at 100% scaling.

Brought a refurb LG C3 from Best Buy. Negotiated it down to the lowest the manufacturer allowed. TV had only a few hours of power on time and still had the plastic peel on it. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it and it came with the full manufacturera warranty.
