Thank you for posting! I just upgraded four lines. Could I have gotten more for them selling directly? Perhaps. But this was quick and easy and a very good offer in my opinion.
it's tricky....they say this---for my iPhone 12, I'm getting upto $700...

That's how these promos are always worded. Say you want to buy a phone that is under $700, like the 12 for $629, you will get $629 back.

Existing Xfinity Mobile client. I traded in an older Pixel 5a I paid $399 for new - I was given $800 for the trade in. I just paid $199 for a brand new Samsung S23 Plus. Amazing deal, amazing phone.

So if I trade in an Iphone 12 (says I'll get $700 for it) do I get the new phone first and activate it before sending in my old Iphone 12? I would be upgrading an existing line. My trade in is in good shape but how likely am I to receive the full $700? The verbage "up to $700" seems like a lot of wiggle room, lol.
This title says new or existing, but it sure looks to me like it only works for new lines. I have my iphone 12 on their service already. says it will give me $700. But for new line I think.

At the top it seems to say for new lines only, but this thread says existing also so I am confused. i also have an iphone 12 on the main xfinity line. of course it may not be worth doing this anyway... I'd be out around $140 or so to go from 12 to 14 and then be forced to stay with them 2 years.
what's funny, though, is I already have to stay with them 2 years if I keep wanting my $35 off internet deal. So i guess I'd still be no worse off and it would be like getting the phone for $100-150.
But not sure if existing really can do it and also a few dead pixels on the side so wonder if they'd notice that.

yeah, but then I assume you're stuck waiting 2 years for it and having to do a new line or maybe not the new line if you are replacing your main phone?
I am existing and it seemed to say it was only when transferring a number?

As far as trade-in value...the Samsung promo had overall higher values. I think some phones that were $1000 are now only $700.
