I bought a pair of these a couple of months ago and just received them about a week ago. The one thing I can say is that 501s, at least the pair that I got, are stiff as hell. Even after I washed them in hot water and dried them in the dryer, they are still like cardboard. The Rose is a dark blue color. Perhaps they will last a long time but it's going to take me quite a while to get used to the stiffness of them. Hopefully over the years they'll soften up.
