It's worse. Items become "unavailable" based on what we feel is a combination of volume, weight, and profit margin. For example, when we added a lot of what we think are low margin items in a $150+ order, we can't add large liquids like milk or juice to the order until we add a high margin item like a brand name OTC drug or multivitamin ie something small, light, and expensive. We've played around with it to test it. It was just weird.
Could be a bug, but we doubt it. Amazon has to realize that the less we have to think about buying something, the more likely we'll spend money.
Still, it's a useful service. It's so much easier not having to drive and wait in lines, but if Amazon keeps making this more complicated, Fresh will likely be discontinued due to lack of shoppers
