I have multiple Eufy cams (solar, flood light, internal pan/tilt, and both wired and battery doorbells). The battery doorbell here can also be wired to a power source, giving both options as well as the video storage on the home base. Anyone considering, this is a great cam

The product description and user reviews indicate that there are 4 ways to get the chime:

From eufy.com: "Compatible with Existing Chime." and similarly on Amazon reviews: "I have a prewired mechanical chime. This doorbell works wired and uses the existing mechanical chime." This is how I'm planning on installing mine tomorrow, so I'll post an update if that doesn't work for some reason.
From the FAQ on eufy.com: "Users can use Alexa Echo as a chime"
Homebase as the chime
Buying a separate eufy doorbell chime

This is also backed up by the table on eufy's website here: https://support.eufy.com/s/articl...-Doorbells

Eh, the price is right (generally), tech is modern, aesthetics are wife approved (ymmv), and I don't care about the whole data/cloud scandal they had a year(?) ago. Also sort of committed at this point. It's honestly exhausting researching all the various companies in this broad sector. I still have a nest lock and ring security system I need to eventually replace.

No chime means there won't be a bell sound when people hit the button? If yes, how much would the chime alone cost?

I took delivery of the doorbell today and was annoyed that I didn't realize homebase 2 or 3 is required to use it. To answer your question, the chime plays via the homebase.

Yeah, too many models I feel. The same exact picture which says doesn't work with home base and some say required.

Yeah, the wired version (vs battery) looks very similar (but is slightly smaller) and the wired version is currently* not compatible with the HomeBase from everything I've read. After researching doorbells recently, I feel that all video doorbell companies have the same issue though as a lot of features differ on battery vs wired and even model year without changing the product name.

This comparison table that I posted above was useful: https://support.eufy.com/s/articl...-Doorbells
*And so is this compatibility matrix for the HomeBase 3: https://support.eufy.com/s/articl...HomeBase-3

I am planning to buy 3-4 cams as well. Preferably eufy cam 3. Most of the packaged deals have home base 3 included. Any idea if just the cams will come in a packaged deal? If not, I might end up with two home bases or have to purchase cams individually which is costly.

Reviews indicate this particular doorbell (battery, 2 camera version) didn't work with homebase 3 for roughly 5 months after its release but does work now. I'm not an expert but eufy seems infamous for promising support that at best gets delayed... despite this my whole home is mostly eufy.

Are you satisfied with eufy cams? Seems to be the best without a subscription but unsettling reading reviews saying motion detection is a hit or miss and there is delay as well.

I have the S200, and I find the motion detection nearly perfect (use the activity zones in the app to avoid street passerbys, etc), but yes, I'd say there is a slight delay...but, even with it it doesnt miss even the UPS guy throwing my package onto my stoop from 5ft away. Package thief would have to be both sneaky and in->out in a second to not trip it.

I have the C22 as well for my deck/patio area, and there the motion detection is much more sensitive (a big rain storm or spider web can send it crazy). But even then, the app is pretty good at letting you set sensitivity levels and preferences.

Is there any possibility that it's getting cheaper during Prime days?

Do you have a link? I just searched and can't find any LaView doorbell cameras that are similar in features to this one, and by no means "identical."
