I have this mouse for past 3 years, use it for work and gaming (fps and diablo with alot of clicking). Works like a champ, absolutely love the mouse. Can adjust DPI and speed, not too light but not too heavy - just perfect.

G502 is often times ~$30 during big holiday sales.


G402, while a decent mouse, has a very poor quality mouse wheel. I've owned one in the past, and the mouse wheel button ended up breaking. The mouse is discontinued, so when I applied for a warranty replacement, Logitech gave me a G502, which while still having poor build quality, is leaps and bounds ahead of the G402.

Given the chance, I'd pick the 502 over 402 every time.
