Has excellent reviews. Can't justify myself, but if form factor is suitable, this is excellent build quality and great screen...

For me, there are many cheaper ones out there, but the slight premium here is well worth it for this looking for quality and unique

Seems like a pretty decent deal for this creator laptop that has some gaming capabilities. Going for full price everywhere else from what I could find.

Anyone knows that if RAM is upgradable? That's the only thing I would change on this laptop. Thanks.

It has a "virtual" numpad on the trackpad.

Hi Burock, I checked Crucial's memory upgrade site and looked through the Asus Zenbooks and this looks like it is a NO:

https://www.crucial.com/compatibl...ed-(ux7602)

They both start with UX7602 and to be honest with new laptops a lot of the cpus and memory are soldered in for durability and less maintenance for the manufacturer.

Thanks for looking that up. That kills the deal for some people. I dislike the trend of soldered on ram and storage. It makes the laptop less reliable.

A disassembly video shows the same. https://youtu.be/CGmkrdjIP0A

The HD is serviceable, but not the ram. Lame. This kills it for me, as I really need 32gb.

I love it except 16gb onboard ram! I can update the SSd and I dont mind 12th gen cpu which is still great!
But, I just checked my chrome and opera tabs use 14gb of ram so 16gb in 2023 is ok if you are not a heavy user but the laptop's sell point is not a light use.

Hard pass. Inexcusable to have soldered on a machine like this.

Asus calls this BS their "Supernova SoM (System on Module)" increasing performance by 1.2x. Pure BS.

Under 1k and maybe id consider it, but even then, defeats the purpose for a computer like this.

PROS:
The solid metal build quality is fantastic. The speakers are the best on any Windows laptop. The battery life is great, the vapor chamber keeps everything cool, comes with an Asus Pen and backpack. The screen is very vivid and detailed, BUT...

CONS:
OLED touchscreens have a visible touch matrix, which creates a grainy or screen door effect on light backgrounds, also stuck at 60 Hz. The raised keyboard is not ideal in all scenarios. The soldered RAM means you're stuck at 16 GB RAM. The RTX 3060 is a bit weak for 2023 and beyond.

The laptop is gorgeous but I don't see it being future proof. The raised keyboard longevity is questionable as well. You do hear an occasional creak or feel an occasional shift when using it.

The MSI Z16p with an RTX 3070 ti is on sale for the same price as well.
