I was browsing BestBuy and I found this item "Open Box - Satisfactory" that looked like a good deal.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/alie...Id=65127
Model: AWX15R2-7662WHT-PUS
SKU: 6512742
Condition: Open Box Satisfactory
Price# $1,196.99
Now - same condition is: $1,540.99
Retail is probably inflated but it says $2,699.99
- 15.6" 360Hz FHD Display 1920 x 1080 360Hz
- Intel 12th Generation Core i7 12700
- 1GB SSD
- 16GB RAM LPDDR5 5200 mhz
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
- 1 x Thunderbolt 4, 1 x HDMI 2.1
It says '240W Adapter" but I am unsure how much power can be delivered to the GPU.
-----------
What I understand is this is a 2022 model, 16GB is not upgradable.
However, the 3070-Ti 8GB should be be good for a while.
I inspected it yesterday, looks pretty new, no defects.
Should have been considered Open-Box Excellent.
Is the appeal for this X15 - R2 is the portability ? (less clunky)?
My other option is to get this Alienware deal .
Keep the open box?
Or return it and get this deal?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is my first gaming machine.

Some of the hardware specs are pretty sweet on this laptop but do yourself a favor and read online about all the driver problems people have had, and continue to have, with the AMD cpu and gpu. Seems worth considering. JMO.
I know it says "we will charge you when the laptop is shipped", but that doesn't make sense since they always charge me when I place my orders as pending. Yesterday the pending charge of $1170, which including the tax in Texas is refunded to meā¦meh
