You can install games, apps, and other media that would take up storage space. Also the 128gb includes Ethernet if that's important to you

Had three Firestick Max's around the house and they were good enough. Replaced one with the latest Apple TV and there are a few benefits.

There are no ads on the home page. Only apps show on the main page and for me, that's pretty amazing. The Firestick main page is littered everywhere with ads and other items I don't want. The menu UI is also very quick compared to the Firestick. Everything seems almost instant. And finally, the integration into the Apple ecosystem is great.

Yup, my 32 GB ATV4K got filled up pretty quick with my games and when my son discovered some Apple Arcade games he really liked.

Is YouTube Tv, Netflix, Hulu, Max, Paramount+, Disney+, etc….better on here (currently using Firestick Max)?

This or the Roku Ultra 4K?
I went back and forth on the same topic. My previous experience with Apple TV was the old non- 4K third gen. Didn't have the App Store and I basically just had it for airplay. Love the Roku interface but the new Apple interface and remote are both much better than the old ones if you knew those. And now they have all the apps just like Roku so they are much more on par nowadays. To top it off, if you have an iPhone, anytime you pull up your AppleTV your iPhone can automatically pop up remote control access to type through the keyboard, although the voice command works well too. Overall seems like snappier performance and nice integration with iPhones. Airplay is more seamless than Roku. Oh also I like the easy integration to my AirPods to privately listen when my wife is sleeping or I'm in a noisy room. I've converted two of my four Rokus to Apple TV and have no regrets so far!

This all the way. Easily the best smart TV platform. Very consistent and unified design across all apps

Yeah I'm trying to figure that out too. I think it's basically the same. Although I believe Apple TV let's you do PIP with multiple apps if I'm not mistaken? I might be wrong about that. I love my Roku but I'm all Apple so I'm strongly considering this
Technically it does allow pip with multiple apps, but I haven't found that many use cases.

Went from fire stick max to this. Find it much more snappy. The UI is cleaner.

In for one for another TV.

Ok, so not to get into the whole Apple vs. Google ecosystem argument... how does the Apple TV 128GB version compare to Google TV 4k? because if I get an Apple TV, that's the one I would purchase.

I currently have a fire TV, which i have liked for a long time (6yrs) yet it's starting to show its age. I don't mind the ads at the top. And sometimes it shows specials for channels like 2 months for 99c a month. I jump on those from time to time.

I also have a Google TV 4k, which I do like as it's quicker/snappier than the fire TV.
I have an android phone, and casting comes in handy at times with Google TV, but I usually just use the remote control. I do use the voice command/control a lot on Google TV 4k.

The main issue I have with the fire TV is it really lags when it's full so I have to delete apps in order to install others and I have to delete apps when it starts to slow down.

I do have an iPad, but that's about it into the apple ecosystem.

It's a lot, but I haven't tried the Apple TV before. I do bring a chromecast with me when I travel.

Lastly I do have a bunch of Amazon echo devices but they suck for controlling the TV. you can basically turn it on and off (sometimes that doesnt work) , raise lower volume, and sometimes search for something on youtube or other apps like Netflix. other than that it's very unreliable.

Just picked up the 128 gb yday from Walmart to replace my nvidia shield pro. Been loving the appletv so far, really like the screensaver effects (which by the way you can set to download daily/weekly and those take up about 1GB of space) and casting from apple devices is seamless

Way speedier than the aging shield pro, and, as I mainly use plex, my Plex experience has been wayyyy better. Live tv no longer buffers, seeking is snappier, while yo experience just feels cleaner. No more ads on Home Screen and built in Siri Remote is something that's nice to have as well! I spent like 10 min logging into YouTube on the shield the other day and that was the last straw for me
