My wife and I were literally just talking about freezers. We have a 7cu ft size one from Sam's that still works really well. Just tired of digging through it when we need stuff. Need a life hack video people use for it.
We are looking into those upright freezers to make it easier. This one is super nice and great deal.

This one though has been as low as $350 on sale and more comparable to this deal. If you don't mind waiting you can get some nice storage containers/drawers for $100 more than this deal.

I had a very old one that was given to me, and it was consuming about 3x the power of modern chest freezers. Did the math and figured out a new one would pay for itself in 3 years.
Uprights are more convenient, but also less power efficient. The cold air spills out every time it's opened, and warm, moist air fills back in. I wouldn't be surprised if uprights need to be defrosted more frequently.
