I just signed up for norton 360 about 5 weeks ago, yes they make you click on an option for auto renewal , but right after your account is setup, you can go in and turn it off.

they also email you about 1 week before the auto renewal to remind you that you are going to be renewed. Last year I forgot to turn off the auto renewal, and you have 48 hours after it is renewed to cancel for a full refund.

so, yes, it is sort of annoying and a bit of a trap, but you also have quite a few ways out of the trap.

( obviously all of this might change at any time in the near or far future )

Because you never make mistakes or have children using your PCs?

My brother has 3 kids (now all either just out of college or finishing up) and they constantly over the years have gotten viruses I have had to clean up on their PCs for them. Windows built in product simply does not catch everything or do as good a job as some of the other products in my experience. I install Norton for them and they almost never renew\someone forgets to renew and the cycle repeats and this has been going on for awhile. One now has a fiancee that is supposed to be a computer tech with a CS degree, and her PC gets infected and he has no idea how to go about fixing it (says something about the current state of college CS grads).

Everyone can make a mistake (even the most season IT pro), some people are clueless on PCs and kids are particularly bad at clicking on all the nonsense that is spewed to them on various websites and by their brain dead classmates following garbage on social media. The 2-3 dollars a PC per year for some decent AV and security software is worth it imo.

Who even needs 3rd Party AVs, that too Norton? Windows Defender is perfectly enough if you practice basic internet safety

I currently have a license for Norton 360 Deluxe 5 devices. If I buy the license from this deal, can it be stacked on my account by a chat rep?

WARNING! Norton requires signing up for auto-updates to activate any codes you might buy. You WILL have to provide a way for them to charge you after a year before they will activate your first year of coverage.

YOU CAN REMOVE IT AFTER, but you have to remember to cancel the auto-renew information so they cannot charge you full price automatically next year.

At least that's how its worked in the part.

Edit: Even the listing says "with Autorenew" to make it clear its set up this way.

It is good for 1 year with the 1 year beginning on the day it is installed on the first of your 10 devices. The first day can be years from now if you like.

As someone who works in a computer repair shop, I advise avoiding this product. Get Malwarebytes instead.

While I agree Malwarebytes is better on AV, this one is not just AV, but also is a firewall with VPN service and many other things. e.g you can customize the firewall to block any particular software, legal or not , malware or not from sending data out.

Were you able to stack premium sub over deluxe?

I was too afraid to try, without any data points.
