I can't even remember which number TI I had to have in school. lol. All I remember is I think I used it like 2 times ever. Unless I am just forgetting.

I can't think of any other technology where the price hasn't gone down in the past 20 years. I used these in high school and college in the early to mid 2000's and they were the same exact price, $150 MSRP or ~$100 on sale.

Agreed. TI should, as a minimum, upgrade the display to one that isn't so pixilated.

The fact that these aren't like $40 is a sign they have an effective monopoly on the education market, and thus can charge whatever they want.

That said I still have my TI-83 Plus and TI-89 and still use the latter daily at work.
