I absolutely love the Sprint for higher end bikes (race support). For more general use though (charity ride support), the Ultralight with the seatpost clamp is tough to beat. Can't really go wrong with either, just depends on how you want to clamp the bike.

The last few times I used a stand was to get rid of disc brake rub. Mainly the front. Kind of hard to do with the front wheel off tho Frown Else I'd have splurged for it.

The bikes I'll use on this stand rarely have front brake problems. If they do, that's something that can be fixed on the ground or while hanging from the seat on the storage rack. But if front end work is frequently needed for what it is that you work on, then look to the other stand for that.

I totally abused my Sprint as it's great for bike washing. I need to replace the rusted bolts as a result. It would be too wasteful to order another stand instead of just maintenance on my existing.

I also have the Pro mechanic stand and must say that both units have use case scenarios.

We also have the Pro Mechanic stands, but to be honest, I don't really make much of a distinction between that and the Ultralight as both work fine for our purposes. The clamping mechanism of the Pro is arguably superior and saves a little time, but the vast majority of bikes I put on either stand for quick work are just hung from the seat anyways as secure clamping isn't really necessary for most flat repair, drivetrain and brake adjustments.

The Sprint is in a different class and gets used on higher end bikes that would prefer not to be clamped. It's great for access to everything on the bike (except front wheel, obviously) without the stand getting in the way.

And I wouldn't worry too much about replacing any rusted bolts, just make sure to remove them and grease the threads every once in a while so they don't get seized.
