Does anyone have this camera and can add a review on the range? I heard anecdotally that everything is transmitted through the homebase instead of directly via Wi-Fi. Is that true, and if so how far can the camera be installed away from the homebase3?

All data (screening, live stream, etc.) was transferred through WiFi. In this case, as long as your devices (Homebase and cameras) are in the same network, you can always get everything transmitted to your Homebase. As for the range, what you're concerned about is whether your WiFi can cover the area in which you want to set up the cameras. The home base can either be connected to the network via WiFi or cable.

The 3 pack camera system is not available anymore. It was the cheapest per camera assuming the prime day price of $150/camera.

I may wait till black Friday for it again.

I installed the 2 camera system for work with an old laptop hard-drive and it worked okay. Like reviews stated the motion range is average. the quality in the daytime is really good.

I think that was on initial release. I recently got a homebase 3 and after an update, I am able to connect via WiFi. Downside to connecting to wifi vs Ethernet is that it cannot store continuous recording from cams that are capable.

Fyi - If you don't need battery based cameras - they are coming out with wired ones that are supposed to be 24/7 recording. Should probably just wait for them instead. It will be sometime in august/October per their website.

Can anyone compare this deal to https://a.co/d/iXa2tpt? I recognize it's not solar and the previous gen, but is the extra cost worth it if you don't need solar?

it never was the 3 pack system on sale, it is a 2 pack system with 1 extra camera bundle.
you have to go to the bundle section to find the advertised price (took me a while to find that)

Are you referring to 3 pack solar? This deal says only 2 for $380

It was not an easy way to purchase the 3 camera bundle as it does say it's sold out. I searched s330 eufycam and scrolled down 10-15 listings and saw the $470 price.

Now that I have this... my wife brings up good point... good to get outside recorded, but without paying for an alarm company, what do you do for break-ins etc...? Do you guys have this and a security company? Sorry for silly question but I'm a fairly new first time homeowner... safe place in FL... but still
