If you need VESA mounting then just buy a real monitor. This is meant for putting in a backpack with your laptop and mobility.

Yeah it's name brand but it's also significantly thicker than the no-name cheaper ones that have been posted here recently.

Have had this for over a yr. You can get manu refurb with warranty on Ebay for about $88, just as good as new IMO. Would recommend this one, except the built in stand is trash, I just ripped it off and glued on a cheap phone kickstand from amazon.

I ended up paying $40 more and getting the ASUS MBB161C. I trust Asus over ViewSonic in terms on quality. So far it's been great.

ViewSonic used to be a top monitor/screen brand. After LG and Samsung took over, it's pretty much forgotten.

I was thinking VESA mount because if you are going to use this 2x a year, then you can benefit from daily use with a VESA mount incorporating it into your workstation stack.
