They have some "used" (usually customer returns) 2TB ones for $80 with the 20% off warehouse deal. If it doesn't work, they'll take it back. I've never had any problem with "used" computer stuff from Amazon Warehouse.

Actually,you should say "Be sure to CHECK the firmware". I bought one 8 months ago and the firmware was updated.

If the firmware begins with a "3", it's a problem, but this problem is 12-18 months old now.

Anything being sold today should be on a "5" level firmware (such as my 2TB). Also update if
you have a firmware level of "4" of course, because that's old too.

So wild, I paid $250 for this drive December 2020. I get that technology gets better and older tech gets cheaper, but with these SSD's in that time frame only the 990 pro came out and it's not significantly faster than the 980.
