It should, but be aware if you're MS account is not managed by Amazon now, it will be after using this. If you're fine with using Amazon to manage your subscription, then it should extend it. It often takes 5-10 minutes to fully show in your Amazon subscription settings.

Mine is managed via Amazon and I just did it and it showed two separate for about 10 minutes, but it just switched and extended by 15 months.

Do you lose your OneDrive files when you cancel and redeem a new code?
I had a subscription lapse. With the subscription inactive I could access the files already saved but couldn't upload anything new because it was over the limit. I don't know if they eventually delete or not.

None that I've found. Got a good deal years ago via Amazon (around $40 per year for family) so stacked them to get the 5 years (which I believe is max). I just occasionally increased as I see a good deal. This is really $50 for 15 months (the $70-$20 gift card and you get 3 extra months). So it's really $40 for $12 months. Plus they stack, as I just bought two to add to my almost year left.

ETA: Biggest issue is you can't really take advantage of deals from other sites as sometimes Newegg and others have similar good deals.
I've not seen Newegg or similar have a 15 month 365 Family for $50. Has it ever been that low?

I had an existing 365 subscription managed by amazon that was due to expire in June 2024, so I purchased this deal to extend my subscription. Did I mess up by activating this new purchase. I thought it would extend the subscription but now I have two subscriptions in the "manage my subscriptions" amazon portal. the original with the June 2024 expiration and now another with an October 2024 expiration. Any help is appreciated.
Someone said it took a few minutes for the two subscriptions to merge into 1.

Let us know if it works because I haven't clicked the Activation button yet on mine.

I can confirm that it took about 10 mins to extend my existing subscription.

After that I was able to cancel on Amazon on "end date" and at that point I can just re-subscribe at Microsoft.
Did you have to click the Activation button on Amazon or did the two automatically merge and extend existing?

I had same issue, exiting subsccription was managed by Amazon and I bought one more. Second row of subscription for added to my account. I contacted Amazon immediately and they cancel and refunded the new row of subscription. I should have waited for 10 minutes.

It just self corrected the subscription expiration date and did add 15 months to my original June 2024 expiration so all good. And yes, it took about 10 minutes (my freak out time) and I did "activate" the new subscription. It took me to the microsoft site and went through a couple of steps there. I even got a message indicating that I had "renewed" my subscription at the end of the MS prompts. That's why I was confused by the duplicate subscriptions showing via amazon.

Can someone help me on what deal to go with? I've just been doing the $9.99 month to month Family subscription & it's says "next charge is 7/27/2023. Do I turn off auto-renew and hit cancel subscription, then go buy this off Amazon?

I'm looking to do this as a newbie who doesn't currently use Office 365. Can I buy it 4 times to get my 5 years?
Yes. I just added two to my account and it has now increased by 2.5 years. As a note, that keeps getting repeated, it takes about 10-15 minutes (usually) after you activate to stack them all together.

Was it through Amazon or another? This should extend by 15 months so October 11, not July 11.

Was your existing subscription with Amazon or MS? If MS, you're correct. You cannot merge a MS-managed sub with an Amazon-managed sub.

Sort of a known thing if you looked around.

But if the existing was already with Amazon, it should combine them and extend 15 months. I just did it and it worked.

Correct. Turn off auto-renew and wait until it expires (or the day before, even). Then, activate this one on Amazon under the same email address and everything will stay the same with your account. You now have to manage the subscription at Amazon instead of MS.
