A piece of junk? It's the same cart minus the tires. A set of 4 replacement solid flat free wheel and tires [amazon.com] can be had for $70. This provides an extra wheel/tire set and over $100 cheaper.

Wheelbarrow has more volume. But the extra volume will be negated if you haul something heavy as you won't be able to maneuver it. Wheelbarrow also more difficult to maneuver on softer and uneven ground.

I've left mine in the elements for ~ 3 years on and off. There's rust all over it, but nothing destroyed. Bolts are rusty but still intact and I could remove them if needed. I just throw a coat of black spray paint on them and they're fine. Frame has rust but it's just surface rust in the welds, nothing too bad. Easily remedied with some spray paint and honestly if you cleaned/oiled the thing once a year I think it would last forever.
Again, add slime to tires. I did and it made a HUGE difference. Mine now stay inflated…

I bought this exact cart in 2016 for the exact same price. it stays outside and it's a beast. Still going strong. Move wood, dirt and many other things. I don't have issues with rust or the tires going flat. It can be hooked up to the 4 Wheeler to pull around as well.

i may have agreed with you a few years ago however a lot of them are duds too regardless of what the description says based on my exp in the past two years (i was buying a lot of like new and very good condition usually only buying items that said just the box was damaged or original box missing)
for example i just got a "like new bird cage" not only was it used but was missing more than half of the pieces
quality control went downhill along with customer service.
i know return policy makes things fairly low risk but i have grown tired of dealing with it especially with bigger heavier items

Both seem to have benefits. The flat bed seems more flexible for moving large pots and oversize logs or bags. Looking for suggestions in terms of usability and durability of the plastic dumper vs steel cart.

I've had this for quite some time now. The stock tires often deflate in the winter. I ended up getting replacement airless from harbor freight cheap. Aside from the tires we use this a lot and it does well. I hook it up to the ride on mower a lot. I got it on clearance and ir was worth it - not sure about getting it at this price given the inevitable tire change
