Worth the upgrade over the standard aluminum? Looking for a classier look that I can use for work but also still be active in.
Everybody swears yes and they all finally convinced me with the 7. TBH I'm the guy who always has an Otterbox on his phone, glass snap on case for his watch etc. I still did this too with my SS Apple Watch 7. Personally if you're going to do this with the SS version like me it kind of defeats the purpose of having it and save your money and buy the cheaper version. I do construction and never broke an aluminum watch doing this and of course haven't broke the SS version doing this either. If you rock your watch naked it may be worth it.
You can cancel the AC and get $60 back, which makes this deal even sweeter— better than the base deal at $310 for sure. The case quality is 100% different. Aluminum case feels like a toy but the SS feels like a well made "art"

Does it actually say "cancelled" and is no longer in your order history?
So after purchase, the order splits into two orders: 1 for the watch, 1 for apple care+ (with different order numbers). Neither order changed when I canceled the Apple Care+, all I have so far is an email confirmation from the agent I chatted with:

This is [helpful guy] from Amazon. I was glad to assist you today.
As we discussed, I've requested a refund for [~$60]. You'll see the refund on your credit card statement in the next 3-5 business days.
Can you explain what you mean by canceled due to lack of payment? That sounds a little suspecious.

I know how it charges but since it's a bundle, I'd keep your eye on any pending charges/authorizations and refunds. My experience is that Amazon attempts to charge immediately for AppleCare+.

Great point, especially if this is a refund without an explicit cancellation of the order. I'll keep an eye on the account. Thanks!

I had edited part of my response, but I guess you still saw it first. I had AppleCare+ "cancelled" by a rep before, and that is what the status said. I don't know if she did it incorrectly or not, but my situation was unique, and I can't recall if I cancelled the item itself later on. I also don't know if I could possibly be charged in the future.
I've learned some Amazon reps don't know what they're doing, and can not be trusted with the information that they provide. It's infuriating.
I'll be the guy who swears by the stainless steel model. I'm still using my silver stainless steel series 4 and it has gotten beaten up throughout the years from kids, dog, life, etc and still not a single scratch on the screen. The sides of the case obviously shows normal stainless steel wear but the glass itself is perfect.

I've read from others that you can polish the silver stainless steel to address scratches, but not the graphite or gold versions.

Also from what I have read, AppleCare+ is not returnable/refundable via Amazon.

Brings this deal down to $474+tax for just the watch! $445+tax if you have the Amazon Prime Card (6% back for prime day).
