For as long as I have shopped on Amazon, they have always had their normal 30-day return policy for Apple products. I noticed that this policy has been changed to 15 days, and wanted others to be aware.

Apple items now say, "This item can be returned in its original condition for a full refund or replacement within 15 days of receipt."

Not 100% sure where it needs to be posted since this isn't a "deal," but a lot of SD shopping is impacted given Amazon's standing as a retailer.

Giving you a thumbs up to offset all the cranky old men in here that'll give you a thumbs down because this isn't a "deal". I appreciate the heads up!

Just trying to help. I was surprised to see the change and am not a fan of it. I know that the Apple Store already has 14 days, but hope other retailers do not do the same.

Thanks for the thumbs up. Repped.

*Edit: Apparently you're not alone. This post has gotten way more positive attention/thumbs up than I expected, especially so quickly. Nice to see a reminder of so many friendly/kind people in this community.*

Yea I wonder what the deal is with Apple. Target has the same policy but didn't realize at first. Got something around Black Friday and tried returning around Christmas but I missed the window :/

Target's deadline for Apple products bought in a store during the holidays was 1/9/23.

This was from the official policy page: "For all Apple products (excluding mobile phones) purchased between Oct. 6-Dec. 25, the 15-day refund period will start on Dec. 26 and must be returned by Jan. 9."

If your return got denied before Jan. 10, you got screwed.

Clearly a decision that they planned to quietly implement after the extended 2022 holiday return period ended.

I just returned a Apple product from Amazon Warehouse in Acceptable used condition, and I haven't gotten any refund status yet, and it's already been 10 days since they got it back. I chatted and they said Apple product returns take up to 30 days. 30 days!!! Not only that, but they required someone from UPS to come pick it up, which is a problem because they don't give you a schedule or let you know when they come. Think twice if you are planning to return any Apple product back to Amazon. Either they fired too many people in the latest rounds of layoffs, or they should just not sell Apple products if they can't handle returns in a proper manner.

Yes they also got rid of the cancellation button option mid-shipment (stop/return). That was so helpful for last minute buyers remorse.

Just for Apple on Amazon, or on Amazon in general? I haven't tried to cancel on Amazon for a while.

Have had the same issue. Ridiculous practice. Amazon does not even automatically provide the UPS return tracking # anymore. You have to contact Amazon after initiating the return to get the #. Smh
